What can be said about Crimes of Passion that hasn't already been said on various reviews sites around the world? Well lots really... but since we don't carry egos around with us, we'll let you listen to the music instead 'cos that's what you're here for, not to read paragraphs of insane twaddle about what we did last year, month or week. If you like what you hear, visit our official website (refer below), and tell your mates... Hope to meet you on tour soon......
How did the band and it's name come about?
It’s a lyric from one of our earlier songs, “Pretty In Blood”.
How would you best describe your sound to a deaf person?
Its like a thick pile of shepherds pie, solid and meaty at the base, but with a fluffy surface, and a hint of cheese.
What bands did you grow up with, and how did they help create the style of music that you play now?
It was always the likes of Maiden, Dokken, through the 80’s, but more recently the bands that influence us are more in the vein of Bullet For My Valentine, Saosin. Killswitch Engage, but still with a hint of the old school AOR.
What do you think sets your music apart from that of other bands?
I don’t think we can be directly pigeon holed into a particular style of metal/rock, we think we have quite a unique sound, due to our very varied influences.
What too you will be "success" as far as Crimes Of Passion is concerned?
The release of our album for one!!! A nice deal from a decent label, and more tours, and perhaps a few quid in the back pocket to boot!! We don’t want much really!!
Is there a song in your collection now that makes you proud to think we/I wrote that?
For me its “God Made Me Your Angel” our big cigarette lighter ballad.
Crimes Of Passion is to headline Monsters Of Rock with your choice of 3 support acts. Who do you choose?
A varied line up I think,Iron Maiden – to bring in a good crowd – Journey with Jeff Scott Soto – the guy was awesome on the last tour!! And Queen with Freddie!!!! I reckon that line up put some bums on seats!!!!
Any thoughts on the current state of the music industry?
I think rock is still buzzing and always will be, it doesn’t have to be at the forefront of the media, it doesn’t need it. We like rock because its rock!!!! Not because someone told us to like it. There’s none of the “emporers new clothes” syndrome with us metal heads, is there!!!!
What does the future hold for Crimes Of Passion?
Our album will be released shortly and more tours with some of our favourite bands, which is a real buzz!!! 2008 will be an exciting year for us, hopefully then we’ll raise enough money to retire and eat shepherds pie and drink blue nunn around our swimming pools with our milfs!!!!!
